What students will do
- Analyse texts and their context
- Write guided analyses and comparative essays
- Give well-structured oral commentary
Internal assessment
Students complete oral and written tasks, which contributes to the final grade alongside the external exams.
Draft first, then improve. Reading your writing aloud is the quickest way to spot sentences that need fixing.
Should I choose SL or SL?
Choose HL for subjects you enjoy most or may study at university, and SL for the rest. Your teacher or DP coordinator can advise on the right balance.
