The IB Middle Years Programme
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is a five-year programme for learners aged 11 to 16. It connects what students learn in class to the world around them through key concepts, related concepts and global contexts, and it develops approaches to learning (ATL) skills such as thinking, communication, research, self-management and social skills.
Subjects are grouped into eight areas: language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, sciences, mathematics, arts, physical and health education, and design. Each group is assessed against four criteria, and students complete a Personal Project in the final year.

Concept-based practice
Resources focus on the knowledge and skills that MYP criteria reward, with questions that build from fundamentals to application.
Every subject group
From MYP Mathematics and Sciences to Individuals and Societies, find practice organised by grade and topic.
For students and teachers
Use topic pages for revision, homework, starters and differentiation.
Always check which criterion a task is assessing. Knowing whether you are being marked on knowledge, investigation, communication or application tells you how to answer.
How many MYP grades does mindtested cover?
MYP Grades 1 to 5, matching the five years of the programme (typically ages 11 to 16).
What is the MYP Personal Project?
It is an independent project completed in the final year of the MYP in which students choose a topic, plan, create a product or outcome, and reflect on the process.
