Music in IB MYP Grade 1 Performing Arts
Music is part of IB MYP Grade 1 Performing Arts. At this foundational stage (ages 11–12), learners work on exploring sounds and simple rhythms and singing and playing simple instruments.
MYP Performing Arts is assessed against four criteria (A: knowing and understanding, B: developing skills, C: thinking creatively and D: responding). Regular practice with music builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.

Who is the Music page for?
It is for IB MYP Grade 1 Performing Arts learners, typically aged 11–12, and for the parents and teachers who support them.
Are music resources free?
Many are. Each resource shows a clear Free or price label, so you can start with the free ones and add premium resources when you need more practice.
How should I use these resources?
Pick one resource, complete it without help first, then check and correct. Repeating this little and often is more effective than one long session.
