Digital Art in IB MYP Grade 3 Visual Arts
In IB MYP Grade 3 Visual Arts, Digital Art gives intermediate learners (ages 13–14) the chance to practise creating a basic digital artwork, using digital tools for design and effect and developing a personal digital art style.
MYP Visual Arts is assessed against four criteria (A: knowing and understanding, B: developing skills, C: thinking creatively and D: responding). Regular practice with digital art builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.
What learners practise
- Creating a basic digital artwork
- Using digital tools for design and effect
- Developing a personal digital art style
For students
Work through the worksheets, practice questions and revision resources at your own pace. Check your answers, then redo anything that felt tricky and explain each answer in your own words.
For revision
Use these resources for homework, end-of-unit revision and catching up on anything missed in class.
For teachers
Use digital art activities as a starter, homework or retrieval practice, and mix free and premium resources to differentiate.
Keep a process journal. Sketches, notes and reflections show your thinking, and they are exactly what assessors want to see.
