IB DP Computer Science
DP Computer Science covers computational thinking, programming, systems and data, taught through problem solving. Students develop the ability to design algorithms, write and test programs and explain how computer systems work.
What students will do
- Design algorithms
- Write and test programs
- Explain how computer systems work
How it is assessed
DP Computer Science combines external assessment with internal assessment, including a computational solution to a real problem.
Choose your level
Sketch a quick diagram or flow chart for every process you study. Visual summaries are far easier to revise from than paragraphs.
Is this subject offered at SL and HL?
Most DP courses are offered at both Standard Level and Higher Level, with HL covering extra content in more depth.
