Drawing and Painting in IB MYP Grade 1 Visual Arts
In IB MYP Grade 1 Visual Arts, Drawing and Painting gives foundational learners (ages 11–12) the chance to practise exploring mark-making with simple tools and practising basic drawing and painting techniques.
MYP Visual Arts is assessed against four criteria (A: knowing and understanding, B: developing skills, C: thinking creatively and D: responding). Regular practice with drawing and painting builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.
