Resources and Sustainability in IB MYP Grade 2 Geography

In IB MYP Grade 2 Geography, Resources and Sustainability gives developing learners (ages 12–13) the chance to practise exploring things we use every day, investigating natural resources and understanding sustainable use of resources.

MYP Geography is assessed against four criteria (A: knowing and understanding, B: investigating, C: communicating and D: thinking critically). Regular practice with resources and sustainability builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.

What learners practise

  • Exploring things we use every day
  • Investigating natural resources
  • Understanding sustainable use of resources

For students

Work through the worksheets, practice questions and revision resources at your own pace. Check your answers, then redo anything that felt tricky and explain each answer in your own words.

For revision

Use these resources for homework, end-of-unit revision and catching up on anything missed in class.

For teachers

Use resources and sustainability activities as a starter, homework or retrieval practice, and mix free and premium resources to differentiate.

Study tip

Practise using evidence: for every point you make, name the source, example or data that supports it.
