Small Letter Tracing in IB KG
Each page teaches one small (lower-case) letter with a model, dotted letters, writing space, a circle-the-letter hunt, a big letter to colour and a picture activity. Letters such as g, j, p, q and y have room for their tails.
What learners practise
- Tracing each small letter a to z
- Keeping letters on the guide lines
- Telling similar letters apart (b, d, p, q)
- Matching or tracing picture words
For students
Trace with your pencil, then try on your own. Colour the animal when you finish.
For parents
Print on A4 and sit beside your child. Short, happy sessions work best.
For teachers
Use as a morning task, centre activity or homework. Each page has a name, class and date box.
The pairs b/d and p/q are easy to mix up. Say the letter sound each time and point out which way the round part faces.
Quick answers
How many small letter worksheets are there?
