Training and Performance in IB MYP Grade 3 Physical and Health Education
Training and Performance is part of IB MYP Grade 3 Physical and Health Education. At this intermediate stage (ages 13–14), learners work on developing basic training habits, practising skills to improve performance and analysing training methods for performance.
MYP Physical and Health Education is assessed against four criteria (A: knowing and understanding, B: planning for performance, C: applying and performing and D: reflecting and improving performance). Regular practice with training and performance builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.
What learners practise
- Developing basic training habits
- Practising skills to improve performance
- Analysing training methods for performance
For students
Work through the worksheets, practice questions and revision resources at your own pace. Check your answers, then redo anything that felt tricky and explain each answer in your own words.
For revision
Use these resources for homework, end-of-unit revision and catching up on anything missed in class.
For teachers
Use training and performance activities as a starter, homework or retrieval practice, and mix free and premium resources to differentiate.
Set one small, measurable goal for each session, then reflect on whether you met it and what you would change next time.
Quick answers
Who is the Training and Performance page for?
It is for IB MYP Grade 3 Physical and Health Education learners, typically aged 13–14, and for the parents and teachers who support them.
Are training and performance resources free?
Many are. Each resource shows a clear Free or price label, so you can start with the free ones and add premium resources when you need more practice.
How should I use these resources?
Pick one resource, complete it without help first, then check and correct. Repeating this little and often is more effective than one long session.
