Chemical Reactions in IB MYP Grade 3 Chemistry
In IB MYP Grade 3 Chemistry, Chemical Reactions gives intermediate learners (ages 13–14) the chance to practise investigating signs of a chemical reaction, understanding reactants and products and analysing reaction types and equations.
MYP Chemistry is assessed against four criteria (A: knowing and understanding, B: inquiring and designing, C: processing and evaluating and D: reflecting on the impacts of science). Regular practice with chemical reactions builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.
What learners practise
- Investigating signs of a chemical reaction
- Understanding reactants and products
- Analysing reaction types and equations
For students
Work through the worksheets, practice questions and revision resources at your own pace. Check your answers, then redo anything that felt tricky and explain each answer in your own words.
For revision
Use these resources for homework, end-of-unit revision and catching up on anything missed in class.
