Design Cycle in IB MYP Grade 2 Product Design
In IB MYP Grade 2 Product Design, Design Cycle gives developing learners (ages 12–13) the chance to practise exploring simple making and creating, identifying a simple design problem and planning and creating a solution.
MYP Product Design is assessed against four criteria (A: inquiring and analysing, B: developing ideas, C: creating the solution and D: evaluating). Regular practice with design cycle builds the knowledge and skills those criteria reward.

For students
Work through the worksheets, practice questions and revision resources at your own pace. Check your answers, then redo anything that felt tricky and explain each answer in your own words.
For revision
Use these resources for homework, end-of-unit revision and catching up on anything missed in class.
For teachers
Use design cycle activities as a starter, homework or retrieval practice, and mix free and premium resources to differentiate.
Test early and test often. A quick prototype that fails teaches you more than a polished idea that was never tried.

It is for IB MYP Grade 2 Product Design learners, typically aged 12–13, and for the parents and teachers who support them.
Are design cycle resources free?
Many are. Each resource shows a clear Free or price label, so you can start with the free ones and add premium resources when you need more practice.
How should I use these resources?
Pick one resource, complete it without help first, then check and correct. Repeating this little and often is more effective than one long session.
